Not only is it not okay but the fact that you didn't know that would be no excuse. Because the woke agenda is premised on the Marxist idea that people like you are unfairly privileged at the expense of the poor marginalized, you don't get any benefit of the doubt. They're looking for any excuse to cancel you as a lesson to the rest. Your possible redemption and future happiness means very little. You're more useful as yet another cautionary tale.
This is all a lot more like Mao's Chinese cultural revolution than we realize. Oh sure, right now, it's nowhere near as bad and it probably won't ever get quite there as we have material prosperity and a civil rights heritage the Chinese never had then either. But there are vectors and trajectories that run quite parallel. Who knows where this all goes but it sure is happening.
