It was only necessary to do that because 'Palestinians', who in fact have never existed as either a nation or a legal entity, kept on insisting that Jews had no historical association with the place. In the end I suppose, it just comes down to whose side you're on. Trying to be neutral, however admirable the intention, is a recipe for total confusion. Which is what we see with EU policy. As it happens I take the Israeli side....something you've probably already noticed.  |
