The conversation is happening on Facebook. It may be the place to have impact. I know some are not on Facebook and I hope more links will be made for those who don't like the Facebook platform. There are lots of reasons not to like Facebook!

...this time with some gratuituosly infantile comments of my own, which only makes his shine brighter.

Facebook: the software counterpart to the three stooges plumbing scene.

I clicked on your link and listened to Prem Rawat prattle on about revenge in his classic self-important hyper-exaggerated pregnant pause stage act cadence that hasn't changed in fifty years. It reminded me of a low budget evangelical side show. Then I read the comments and replies to comments because important things tend to get burried. With no criticism of the excellent comments intended, nothing jumped out as especially noteworthy.

Nevertheless, I wanted to reply to your post to acknowledge your ongoing caring, cult expertise and efforts to expose child sexual abuse. So, based on what he said in the video clip, I surmised that Prem was reacting to something unfolding in his family. I gave up on my reply because I quickly concluded that I wasn't qualified to figure it out or psychoanalyze anything going on in his head.

Then, thinking there must be something more to your post, for no apparent reason I clicked on an obscure heading at the very top of your link and immediately noticed a comment made by Hans Rawat:

"Firstly I would like to say that there is a clear difference between justice and revenge, its not a fine line. I believe there are at least two individuals in my family who do not recognize the difference. In my opinion, this makes them potentially dangerous individuals. Secondly a victim coming forward with their story is neither justice nor revenge. It is at best only the first step on a long and uncertain path toward "justice", which is more of a concept than an actuality. Time cannot be reversed."

Finally, comments by others notwithstanding, something grounded and well-reasoned that made perfect sense that may have put the video clip into context.

(Now I'm not sure whether my link above applies more to the user friendly intuitive nature of Facebook software (not!) or to what Prem was saying.)

I agree on Facebook. I have become convinced though that premies respond to the term "ex-premie" and the existence of this site a little like an some Christians might hearing Satan had a website. Whatever the reasons are, and I sincerely haven't really asked, I think it may be having more impact than if it was only here. But the threads are so hard to follow and it is SO EASY TO MISS, I have, really important statements. I think people should screenshot them if they see something.

Some premie comments I was sent-

Janice W- to Marilyn J O-" i read a post today, supposedly from hans, i (sic) didn't sound like him at all - I find it best to not engage with the exes. Stick with the joy of being alive ( heart emoji)"

Marilyn J O- "Online and on FB anyone could be anyone - we don't even know if people are who they say they are! Haha stick with the Divine who we do know or sure ( smiley face and heart emoji)"

What will they say if they hear his voice or see him speak? AI? Maya? Lila? A test? under the grip of his wife and a band of ex's? All of the above?

What are you going to believe me or your lying eyes?

I can't put into words how dark these examples of the psychological harm Prem Rawat inflicts on his followers are. Few things better illustrate the harmful intransigence of "leave no room for doubt in your mind" when it comes to anything having to do with Knowledge and Prem Rawat.

They remind me of Christians so hell bent on clutching their mustard seed that they've psyched themselves into knowing that god really did create everything in six days. They even built a theme park to show what he did each day.

Oh, but when it comes to anything that might threaten their theme park - their wholly contrived and inflexible knowing - out come the absurd doubts, preposterous rationalizations and desperate theories:

"supposedly from  - hans, i (sic) didn't sound like him at all"

"Online and on FB anyone could be anyone - we don't even know if people are who they say they are!"

No, couldn't've been Hans. Must be an impersonator with an ax to grind. Someone so evil that they'd make-up a story about Prem and Marolyn sexually abusing their own children, pretend to be their son, and comment about it publicly. They obviously made-up that transcript of that supposed family conversation that never happened, too.

(And please don't forget other such things that were said that I can't even repeat.)

Then off they go, like the indelible poster of cult members in a circle frolicking in an open field scattering flower petals all about on a sunny day:

"Stick with the joy of being alive... stick with the Divine who we know for sure."

Ordinarily, I'd feel a deep sense of sadness and empathy for their condition because I was there and I remember how tight its grip was. But these tragic circumstances are different. These are but two of many hundreds who will surely join the circle, and we certainly haven't heard the worst of it.

Unlike the eye-witness accounts of Prem Rawat's procured women, extreme alcohol and nicotine consumption, sadistic physical abuse of followers, insatiable greed and the rest of the smelly list, this one shatters the facade completely and places Prem and all those who shamelessly continue to promote him and raise money in his name - including other family members - on the list of all time great grifters: Knowledge to them is nothing more than a means to their desperate and morally vacuous ends.

Thank you for quoting 13:

"What will they say if they hear his voice or see him speak? AI? Maya? Lila" A test? under the grip of his wife and a band of ex's? All of the above?"

I'm sure it's all been said and I'm sure there's more to come.

It's not me you're quoting there at the end.

You're right to point out though how preposterous the idea is that someone is taking on the persona of Hans, and making these false accusations just to grind axes and tarnish the image of Rawat Senior.

There I go again. My apologies to you and whoever said it. I clearly got it mixed-up with another one of your truisms. The quote was so spot on that it had to be yours!    Just like this one:

"I'm really not up for having facts batted away as hearsay."

I know that crusty old feeling of intolerance as in "I just don't have time for that nonsense anymore."

Oh, I so didn't remember posting that. I thought it sounded more like something Lesley might have written. Curious, I did a search and it was me after all, possibly emulating Lesley.

I was once employed as a ghost writer by an author who was a good friend. He had more to write than he had time for. I knew next to nothing about the subject. I stared at a blank screen for a couple of days, many false starts. Then in a flash of inspiration, I thought, what would he write? And I imagined being him, with a story to move on, and doing it in his voice, which I knew well.

That worked great. Later, we edited some parts over the phone. He edited some of my stuff and then I edited some of his edits and we ended up laughing, no longer knowing whose lines were whose, and figured that if we couldn't tell who had written what, no-one else would suspect there was any other author involved but him.

It might be hard for any of us after all this time posting here to claim any originality. For sure, I lose track of who said what, even if it was me.

Might be an age thing though too.

One of the nice things about the forum is the feeling of being in good company.

I'm so forgetful that I let the cat out for five minutes, tell myself not to forget him, and then hours later search the whole house only to find him staring at me through a window.

oh my goodness your poor cat.  How funny, do you think he was wanting to catch your attention - intently staring?

Darko has taken to sitting on top of the chicken coop right on top of their nesting box.  The chickens don't like it at all, up go their wings and they fluffle off and I worry that I will accidentally shut him in the compound in the twilight but I think he just wants to be friends.

So there you have it, I'm getting forgetful, my eyesight is not as good as it was, or my hearing.  And I was starting to get stiff but I made a discovery today - I am not normally a drinker at all but I have a neighbour who gave me a tot of whisky when I hurt my fingers and when I had a sore tooth and it was just so good - so I went and bought a bottle of single malt whisky today (after a very trying game of bridge) and had a tot this evening.  I am besotted, I am instantly addicted I talked myself out of a second drink on the basis I don't want to become an alcoholic, well at least for another decade, but I can't believe I've gone so far without discovering how good it is.  What a taste - it's just gone straight to my head.

I think the world would be a better place if we had been given whisky instead of religion.

"can you really slip into them without having to bend down and get it over your heel?"

Yes. Skechers Slip-Ins. A cure for stiffness!

Our poor locked-out cat was definitely (and once again) doing everything he could to get our attention. He sleeps by our warm pellet stove and it's still winter and very cold outside. And his eating habits are almost as entertaining as Mr. Darko Wuffles's. It's my choreography. If I do the slightest thing out of order like forget to grab a spoon or stop to rinse it before setting his dish on the floor, he goes haywire and grabs my ankles.

(Reminds me of my former invisible friend.)

I'm sure others will say cheers to your newly acquired affinity for whisky and I'm sure it comes in handy after some of your bridge squabbles, and that's okay. For me, however, I learned that my affinity for beer and vodka martinis contributed to my asymptomatic A-fib. I haven't had a drop in... let's see... seventeen months now! My doctor said a little won't hurt but moderation has never been one of my strengths.

Except for the genuine, selfless, non-promoting/proselytising humanitarian efforts of many religious groups, I'd take whisky over religion any day. To keep this on topic, there's a comparison to be made there.

That's so cute - him going haywire and grabbing your ankles.  It's boy cats isn't it.    Darko likes to stretch out showing the white patch on his tummy and doing an irresistible look but I know only to give a little scratch round the ears.

Yes, what squabbles?  I had entirely forgotten them by the second sip.  I've googled asymptomatic A-fib.   It reminded me of the time when the underlying reality of my marriage came bubbling to the surface - I went to see a friend and told her while we had our normal activities of scrabble and beach walk and then as I was getting ready to go back home I oh I thought I was having a heart attack.  My friend was looking at me and said she thought I might be having a panic attack.  I had never had a panic attack but took half the tablet she was handing me and lo and behold I did stop having the pains.  The next day I went to see the doctor and told him about my marriage as he took my blood pressure.  So he arranged some counselling for me and told me my blood pressure was too high but he was not medicating, just arranged to have a check up again in a couple of weeks and by then it was ok.  That's about 12 years ago now.  It still surprises me how physically my heart was affected.

So yes, I'm most definitely for whisky over religion which always seems to come courtesy of gurus and grifters.  It's just the nice company you find.  Especially, it turns out, at the exit door.

yes, this miserable business of saying oh well it might not be him it could be a troll, or if it is him he's not himself is horrible isn't it.

The premie friends I remember would mostly not be able to walk over the texts from Hans if they saw them.
