With his declining health, this is going to be a big question that has always been in the back of premie's minds....when prem either retires, gets too sick or irrational to continue, or dies, who will take over the family business? what happens if he soldiers on because he has nothing else to do, and starts saying really stupid things when he's on stage? Or can't do the touring thing? If he does broadcasts from the residence it's going to be pretty sorry looking...he needs the crowd energy to shine...without it, he looks pretty depressing...
I have put this question to various premies over the years and find that it's makes them very defensive...if prem really is the one and only unique "perfect master", then he "passes the torch" to the next one at some point....I think the odds on favorite would be to pass it to one of his daughters....that makes sense, until you then ask the premie if they're then prepared to worship that daughter....will she wear the crown? will you kiss their feet in a darshan line? ...Charan Amrit anyone?will you regard them as the modern day Jesus or Krishna? will you fly around the world to get a "tune up every few months? ...hang on their every word for a morsel of truth? ...think of the daughter when they die?
When you put it that way, it get's a little silly, and most premies don't want to think about it.
If I were a betting man, I would put my money on prem giving it to 3 of the kids, with one of them taking the lead....they'll promote the teachings of prem and some minor philanthropy and lead a privileged life in Malibu...it will fade away rather quickly...
I think some premie's wills have included a hefty donation to prem when they pass, but I think they're going to re-think that one, in favor of more immediate loved ones, as prem declines further...it's kind of hard to imagine even a die hard premie giving money to these spoiled malibu kids to continue the family business...

Start to say stupid things??? When has he not said stupid things?

I agree. The cult will remain worshipping the dead Prem Rawat until such time as the last little old lady who actually kissed his feet dies. It could go on for centuries if its legally tied up cleverly enough and if enough money is placed in trust. After all, it's already mostly an internet virtual cult.

It could also be split up by the four children and everything sold off that can be. There's an obvious split between the Rawat daughters and sons. There might still be a will written 40 years ago giving everything to Hansi the First and telling the daughters to bow down before Him. There are a lot of possibilities.

Is there a Miscsavage in the wings about to become Prem's mouthpiece? and eventually take over?

Aren't there still some of his longtime servants living in the Malibu Palace. Maybe they'll take their chance and strip the palace of everything and take to the highway in his fanciest cars.

Interesting and thought provoking.

I can’t help but remember what we were taught in the 1970s.  That there is always a living perfect master- and while there is a lineage for Prem- I had the impression that the next one can pop up almost anywhere when the living one passes. Sort of like the premise of Avatar: the last Airbender-
When the Avatar dies, their spirit is reincarnated in a new body”

And let us not forget- he doesn’t have to come- and that would be the devastation of the entire planet!

So, hmm. Will it be like this cult?

Where her corpse decorated with Christmas lights?

No how absurd. Our cult was never that bad, that weird, that pathologic. Surely we would have never been as dumb as those followers?

So maybe it will be more like this cult, which Premies would also claim is a cult and they are nothing like them-

I also think of Michael Jackson, who couldn’t stop spending extravagantly and compulsively. His kids are set money wise because his records went wild again on his demise. Would there be a similar resurgence? Until a few years ago, I thought checking here would be the only way to find out if he ever left his mortal body. I didn’t think it would make the news.

They are still doing the hard press for funds for Prem Rawat’s great Peace Ambassador work. How are all these homes/travels/film crews financed? It’s got to cost a ridiculous amount of money to fund the Prem show. Is there really so much left to inherit? What about the rumor of the White Palace of Malibu said to be slated for a Graceland like attraction museum to his amazing life? Can the entry tickets even pay for the maintainance of such a place?

How will the owners of Timeless Today and the officers of TPRF survive? Will the followers keep the adult children and the Peace Education and Foundations in their wills? What’s in the “Minds” of these folks? Why didn’t this Birthday party VIP event in Malaysia have Marolyn, Wadi, Daya or Amar in the shots? Were they there? Who were the two women seated up with Prem?

(Damn this link didn’t work. Maybe Prem Bio can make a page we can find out.)

Back to this new perfect master incarnating when one passes. Does it have to be a child? I don’t think so. Shri Hans lore says not.

Maybe it will be Ivanka Trump? Surely she has a similar legitimacy campaign skill set? She knows sort a where to draw the line whilst buttering her bread?

Or, your speculation about an unrelated power grab from a PAM. It’s seemed that many former initiators have transitioned their skill set into Personal Empowerment Leadership Babble. Hmmm- so many contenders.

Yes, interesting, thought provoking and I would add darkly entertaining when it happens.

Two thoughts come to mind: 1) it will likely be as dysfunctional as that family has been all along; and 2) the focus of all the secret meetings will likely be on how to preserve the family business.

I'm reasonably confident that Marolyn and the children would scoff at the notion of a successor perfect master. They never fell for such nonsense and they know full well that unless it's controlled and staged, their future livelihoods would likely go down the drain. There's much more money to be made donated by others in the name of a hyper-inflated and glorified Prem Rawat than in the name of any fledgling upstart, and it's inconceivable to me how that would ever come about much less gain any traction.

What's in his will? What happens to his assets? Typically, most of it would go to his wife and lesser amounts to his children and foundation. What about the mistress? Would they be comfortable retreating and living comfortably off that, or would they feel enough financial insecurity (or boredom or need to maintain their social status) to carry on with the foundation? Perhaps ongoing charitable giving* (of other peoples' money) might be just enough to appease any suppressed guilt they may have over drinking excessively and doing drugs while being supported essentially by premies' donations, be it to their father or his organizations from which they draw their salaries. (I have no idea how much of their income is derived from non-cult related earned income.)

If they go the TPRF route, if anyone thinks Prem Rawat is all that now, wait 'till they see how wonderful, philanthropic and glorious (really no words to describe how big) he is in perpetuity. That's what many successful foundations do: milk the good name of the founder and exploit it for all it's worth (which is not to disparage genuinely good and beneficial foundations).

A successor perfect master would be nothing but a threat to all that unless they have someone lined-up in the back room learning how to parrot the "peace bomb," much like the coup-plotting mahatmase who plunked young Prem on the throne apparently did. And how cruel and heartless that would be! It reminds me of human sacrifices... volcanoes and that sort of thing.

Actually, I really have no idea, but it will surely be darkly entertaining.

* Regarding charitable giving, I firmly believe it's only for the promotion of Prem Rawat for the purpose of sustaining the family promotion/donation/promotion business cycle.
