Mike, who posted on these forums as NAR, has passed away after a long battle with cancer. My thoughts are with Elizabeth who must have suffered watching him fight and lose his last battle.John.

That's sad news. Mike was one of the smartest people I've ever conversed with on these fora. I learned so much from him.
Rest in peace, Mike. And condolences to Elizabeth.

In the early days of the ex-premie movement we had real life meetings which were great fun, and strangely Rawat rarely featured as a topic of conversation. There are people here I haven't yet had the honour of meeting, and Mike was was one that I really did want to meet. Sadly this will never happen in this lifetime (that is true whether or not there is an afterlife). When my circumstances allow I will travel again, and meet some of you, and until then, anyone who is travelling in this part of the world is welcome to my house in northern Latvia, before we all leave this life.John.

thank you John, Australia is a long way away but if I ever find myself nearby you can be certain I will be looking for an invite.
