Here in Australia, perched above the Pacific Ocean one lone American got her little group together to celebrate thanksgiving. We even did the saying what you're thankful for after dinner bit.
It really is a lovely little holiday,I guess I'm a little melancholy for it,having still lived more of my life in the states. Here in Canada, with an earlier harvest, we have it before Halloween. I never quite got used to it. I like the family oriented thankfulness aspects of it, as opposed to most of the other ones, which have more emphasis on sugar,booze and or religion. The more traditional dessert to me is pumpkin pie.
