"can you really slip into them without having to bend down and get it over your heel?"

Yes. Skechers Slip-Ins. A cure for stiffness!

Our poor locked-out cat was definitely (and once again) doing everything he could to get our attention. He sleeps by our warm pellet stove and it's still winter and very cold outside. And his eating habits are almost as entertaining as Mr. Darko Wuffles's. It's my choreography. If I do the slightest thing out of order like forget to grab a spoon or stop to rinse it before setting his dish on the floor, he goes haywire and grabs my ankles.

(Reminds me of my former invisible friend.)

I'm sure others will say cheers to your newly acquired affinity for whisky and I'm sure it comes in handy after some of your bridge squabbles, and that's okay. For me, however, I learned that my affinity for beer and vodka martinis contributed to my asymptomatic A-fib. I haven't had a drop in... let's see... seventeen months now! My doctor said a little won't hurt but moderation has never been one of my strengths.

Except for the genuine, selfless, non-promoting/proselytising humanitarian efforts of many religious groups, I'd take whisky over religion any day. To keep this on topic, there's a comparison to be made there.
