Darko has taken to sitting on top of the chicken coop right on top of their nesting box.  The chickens don't like it at all, up go their wings and they fluffle off and I worry that I will accidentally shut him in the compound in the twilight but I think he just wants to be friends.  

So there you have it, I'm getting forgetful, my eyesight is not as good as it was, or my hearing.  And I was starting to get stiff but I made a discovery today - I am not normally a drinker at all but I have a neighbour who gave me a tot of whisky when I hurt my fingers and when I had a sore tooth and it was just so good - so I went and bought a bottle of single malt whisky today (after a very trying game of bridge) and had a tot this evening.  I am besotted, I am instantly addicted I talked myself out of a second drink on the basis I don't want to become an alcoholic, well at least for another decade, but I can't believe I've gone so far without discovering how good it is.  What a taste - it's just gone straight to my head.

I think the world would be a better place if we had been given whisky instead of religion.
