Quirky, it was sad to read your post and I admire your courage. There's an ad for Marie Curie nurses on British TV. Their message struck home with me,

"Death is not the opposite of life, it's part of life."

I'm 74 and friends and relatives seem to be leaving us with increasing regularity.
I think we're all waiting in the queue for the next train out of town.
I hope the final bit of your journey is as rich and fulfilling as the previous bit.
