I told my boss about the defection when I first read it, she vehemently denied it. I got the feeling she was quite threatened by the news, thus didn't want to accept it. I recall several years ago them going over to Montreal to hear M's brother I'm guessing that would have only been him. They would just blame suicides on normal instability, if that isn't a contradiction.
