Hi again Susan, I just want to point out something I noticed in your first reply to me ("dear God only Knows") in the "About Jagdeo, Cynthia" post. You said (to me):
"I have been reading the exchange between you and some others here and wanted to put in my two cents.First, of course you are right that the Indian authorities are different than the US. If Rawat had indeed admitted to being the driver, in what seems like a pure accident, he may have faced time in an Indian jail or even huger bribes than what were paid to the cyclist's family...".
As far as I am aware, Susan, and as far as I can remember, I never mentioned anything about that incident in any of my posts, and I am sure I never said anything about the Indian authorities being different from those in the US! So you may be confusing something someone else said with what you think I said!
If so, I am glad I am not the only one who finds this board a bit confusing at times!
Also, I couldn't find the POV thread you mentioned ("Either way, every person who knew about this and didn't go to the police cannot point the finger at anyone else") but I get the picture.
