Maharaji, at another moment, also spoke of how people usually use the words "that sounds really good" when referring to food that someone is preparing, like for example, if you are preparing Mexican food and explaining to me what you are doing and I should say: "that sounds really good." Prem Rawat uses his unique way of explaining "things" and says, "Sounds good! Are you going to take the food and put it in your ears?" He says, there's no way that food can "sound" good. He says food can only taste good when you are eating it; that it is nothing that can "sound" good but rather that it can taste good, and then, again, out of fear, or out of being afraid, we mimic and say "sounds good". So, he said that if you want to read about food in a book, or how to prepare it, that's OK for you, but that you will find him in the kitchen cooking.

I never realized how fear-driven I really was but the fact is, I, too, have said things like that.  And not just about food either.  The other day, Laurie asked me if I wanted to drive and, without even thinking about it, swear to God, I blurted right out, "Sounds good to me!"

This is a real insight and, to be fair, Rawat really does have some amazing things to say sometimes.  Sigh, if only he hadn't screwed things up so bad with his guru stuff and all that, God, I'd be the first one in line.  You can't buy this kind of wisdom.  Normally.
