That premie makes it sound as if her father gave birth to her.  I wonder why they say she's of south asian Indian heritage but not German, too.

I watched the movie last night -- I didn't realize it was on last night and it'll probably get lots of rerun time on USA Network.  "Thoughtcrimes" is just too ironic!  It was pretty corny.  A high school senior can hear everyone's thoughts and this ability happens suddenly while she's dancing at her senior high school prom.   

The character played by Navi, is Freya MacCallister.  So she's deceived into working for the NSA to hunt down terrorists, but not before a five year stay in a psychiatric hospital misdiagnosed as schizophrenic. She is rescued from the psych hospital by a contractor of the NSA who considers her to be an extraordinary telepath.  Like the Telephath of all telepaths.  It's an action film -- running, running and more running, in between crying, sobbing, and more crying and a bunch of shoot 'em up scenes, and a few bombs going off, but not until the main character saves the day every time.  But, she didn't write the thing so I'll blame Hollywood!  I can't judge Navi's acting because I've never seen her in anything else, but great looks do go a long way in Hollywood.   

I have to qualify my best wishes.  I do not include the adult children of Prem Rawat if they are working in the family cult business and living off the lard of the land.  I mean really!  Doesn't anyone in that family (besides Navi and her mother Claudia) ever WORK for a living?
