My memory of Glen from the 'old days' was that he was one of the more genuine of the DLM UK opos, many of whom I otherwise found to be decidedly unsavoury characters.
It was something of a shock to find the extent to which Glen had mispresented the relationship between DLM and EV, following the Jagdeo revelations. Glen's story for the media was that DLM had nothing to do with EV - this was at best disingenuous as both the US and Australian DLM Inc.s had simply changed their names to EV Inc. However what is worse is that EV[UK] actually transfered money to DLM[UK] and then paid DLM[UK]'s final tax bill, transactions which Glen himself was responsible for.
I think many premies had come to believe that they, along with their master were above the normal requirements of decency and morality and that they were all on some 'higher' path. Perhaps one of the most important things that exs can achieve is to remind Rawat, the EV insiders and the hoi poloi of the Rawat claque, that they are all very human and are answerable to the societies in which they live and seek to operate.
