Hello Turey, Nice to meet you (Nice to hear from you). Thats good if you're considering my friendly'ness, and of cource I include you in my invitation Turey. I havn't given control of my life to anyone nor has anyone given me control of theirs. I do what I do because its what I want to do, and for no other reason. I heard about the gift Maharaji had to offer way back in 1973..I liked what I heard, I followed it up,made my own decision to go for it, i also made my own decision to practise it,have continued to do so, during that time I also became a Wife,Mother,Aunt, GrandAunt, Sister in Law and so on! I worked for the Health Board for many years and so on and so on!I did all these things because I wanted to, or at times because I had too...like taking a trip to the supermarket and not quite feeling in the mood for it. In relation to my spirit Turey...well how would I describe myself...let me THINK...free..yeh. Im free to practise the tin whistle if I want..only if I want..im free to write to you right now because I want..only because I want. I hope that has answered your question in relation to who is in control of what I do in my life. I choose to practise what I practise and that includes singing and a few instruments. I love music and choose to sing. I dont seem to make sence to everyone..lets see if I do with you Turey..and if I do then...talk to you again. Love and Best Wishes to you and your Family. Julie x

Julie,The condition for you to post here is that you engage in the discussions. Have you not noticed yet that you keep repeating the same stuff? You have admitted you don't find any of the topics of discussion on the Non-Rawat forum interesting, and you haven't managed to start a discussion about a topic that you do find interesting. Over here, you refuse to discuss in any detail anybody else's experience of Rawat, and just keep repeating that you enjoy Knowledge and find no fault with Rawat. We've heard it a hundred times, Julie, so try saying something different about Rawat or Knowledge, and join in the discussions. Oh, and stop writing in italics! John.

Julie, wasn't it a requirement to dedicate your life to Maharaji before receiving Knowledge? How is that different from giving over control of your life? As a premie, you're not supposed to be free, Julie. Hasn't anybody ever told you? You belong to Maharaji as his devotee. Isn't that the beauty of it? You don't have to be concerned with running your life as you see fit. The Perfect Master is here to do that for you. You're just supposed to sit back and enjoy the ride. Wheeeeeeeee!!!

Hello Jerry, How are you today? Jerry im so sorry for not answering your letter sooner. Im just getting used to the forum and miss some post sometimes, but I find it eventially. When I got Knowledge it was a suggestion to dedicate to the practise of the gift. As a Premie I am supposed to be free Jerry. I dont belong to anyone except myself. Of cource I have to be concerned with running my own life, just like I had to be concerned in bringing up my Family as I saw fit, as im sure Maharaji and his wife brought up their Children as they saw fit. If you have Children, u more than likely did the same thing. The Perfect Master is not here to run my life for me, we even live in different countrys. My inner experiences are between me and Maharaji ok. just like devotees of Jesus, Krishna, Budda and so on. I am supposed to sit back and enjoy the ride, which im doing, That doesn't mean i dont get on with the things I have to do as I enjoy the ride, Do you know what I mean Jerry? I hope u understand where im coming from on my journey. Once again im sorry for not responding to u sooner Jerry, please forgive me. Yipeeeeeeeeeee!!! Lots of Love and all the Best Julie x

You seem like a genuinely nice person, Julie, and you're absolutely right that you have to take care of yourself. I'm just reiterating Maharaji's message of total surrender. In the Knowledge session we weren't dedicating our lives to the practice of Knowledge, we were dedicating our lives to Maharaji. You could argue that meant practicing Knowledge, but even Maharaji has stated that Knowledge is secondary to the master. That's one of the things that turned me off of Maharaji. He badgered us to no end how important the master is, and how hopeless we are without him. That doesn't sound like somebody who's interested in anybody's freedom. He made us feel as if we couldn't live without him. You might be free to do what you want, Julie, and I'm certain you do just that. But you must understand that Maharaji has never been an advocate of personal freedom, ever. All the evidence is to the contrary.

Hi Jerry, nice post.
The master is important because of the knowledge.
The knowledge is important because of the master.
What if neither were important?

Julie, You pretend, er sorry, claim to have a certain amount of love and respect for some, if not all, of the posters here. Yet every single one of them strongly and unhesitantly tells you that you sound like your mind is frozen in cult thinking. Some people treat you nicer than others but everyone agrees that you are a classic example of a cult member. Has it ever occured to you that maybe we're right? I mean, surely you can see that, if we are right, the fact that you're so lost in this cult might be the very thing preventing you from recognizing your condition. That's what you would expect of cult members, wouldn't you? That they'd be the last people to see how they're trapped? Let me ask you this, Julie: do you think there are such things as cults? If so, do you think that their members know they're in cults? Why not? Tell me about it.

Hi Mike, Do you know something we don't know?

Hi JerryDo you know something we don't know? Yep, I am sure I do, and I am sure that you know lots of things that I don't know. Seriously, Julie is not going to be posting again for a while. This Forum is for those who want to deconstruct their experiences with Maharaji; or, if still current premies, who want to engage and discuss with reasons their continuing involvement with M. Julie was not doing that. -- Mike

Thank you, Mike. She just drives me away. It's as if there were a company meeting called for a specific reason, to discuss construction of a new building or something. And somebody comes to the meeting and only wants to talk about last year's company picnic, because it was "so wonderful!" and "such fun!" and "wasn't that great last year!", until everyone in the room longs to toss them from the nearest window. They won't join in the reason for the meeting and they won't leave others alone to take care of the business at hand in peace.
Plus, on a personal level, I find her horrible spelling and atrocious grammar an embarrassment to Irish people everywhere, since she continually excuses it with "well im irish". In my experience, being Irish does not in anyway equate with being an idiot.

...I consider friendship a true magic. To bare our hearts to others in mutual confession free of any agendas with the intent of assisting and supporting each other is a rare and wonderful thing. For near three decades my friendships suffered as the attempt of total surrender to Mr Rawat included utilising the mechanics of friendship to nudge others in his direction. So, understand my hesitation to respond to your offer of friendship as I cannot see how one can offer themselves in a real relationship with Mr Rawat standing over ones shoulders. I had posted a number of questions for premies recently, no one has responded. Maybe you would answer them so I can better understand your motivation. turey.

I give her credit for doing that. Here's the link to her answers and the thread where Falcon first asked, and I directed her to your questions, now on page 3. I believe your post with the orignial questions are in the thread directly below the one linked. http://www.prem-rawat-talk.org/forum/posts/6777.html The questions are numbered and Julie's answers are numbered, here are your questions. If you open two windows side by side you can reference the questions to her answers: 1. Do you or have you ever considered Mr Prem Rawat to be the personal representative, channel for the Infinite or bodily manifestation of the Infinite? 2. Are you attempting to surrender your life to Mr Rawat? 3. Do you believe Mr Rawat creates or channels 'Grace'? 4. Do you believe that turning your back on Mr Rawat will have dire consequences? 5. Do you think those who have left him deserve to be censored or hurt in any way? 6. Do you consider Mr Rawat to be more than a motivational speaker and provider of known Yoga techniques? 7. Is Mr Rawat your first priority, family and friends secondary or an impediment? 8. Do you think his skin is golden? 9. Have you ever kissed his feet? 10. Do you believe charanamrit and prasad have 'power'? 11. Do you consider Mr Rawat to be your only friend? 12. Have you given time or money to Mr Rawat or his organisation in the belief that you are assisting the work of the Infinite? 13. Do you regularly inhibit the inner voice that suggests..........."Get the hell outahere!!!"? 14. Are the practices of Mr Rawat and his organisation in synch with Truth, Consciousness and Bliss? 15. Can you think of any other relevant questions? Thanks, reflect on your answers!

Hello Cynthia, Good Morning Cynthia! Hope you are well today. Im grand myself. Im just dropping you a note to thank you for responding to Turey and directing him to the answers to the questions he asked me. I like to respond to everyone who goes to the bother of writing to me. Im glad to get the mailing, and hear whats happening for other people. I would like very much for everyone to feel happy. that doesn't mean not crying or getting upset if something upsetting is happening..I do that Cynthia. Im a very emotional person and hate to see anyone hurting. Letter communication is ok, but not the best method of communication. Ive noticed people misunderstanding each others posts at times, including mine and im sure no one is here to offend anyone...I know im not Cynthia and thats for sure. I can see you have a good heart and try ur best to be fair. I like the way u have defended me. Thank you very much Cynthia..I appreicate your efforts. Have a good day and I will too. Lots of Love Julie x

I like to respond to everyone who goes to the bother of writing to me. Then how come you didn't respond to me? Was I being too sarcastic for your goodwill? Perhaps. But I still think I make a valid point. Maharaji is not an advocate for freedom. He is an advocate for devotion. Devotion to him. He made it quite clear that he was to be the center of our lives and all of our actions revolved around him. It was actually a pretty heavy trip. I'm glad I'm done with it. You seem to be a little lukewarm in your devotion, though. I'm sure when you were a premie in 1973 you had time for little else but serving Marharaji and were more than content to turn over the reins of your life to him, as he required if we were to be his followers. What changed for you that you're no longer like that?

Hello Turey, I also, like you Turey, consider friendship a true magic and understand at the same time a real friend is a treasure! I have some very good friends whom ive been friends with for many years. We dont always see each other due to us living in different country and Family commitments and so on, but when we meet we have a real love for each other and thats all due to trust building up over the years. we dont always share the same views on everything, but we are still good friends. Some of my Friends practise Knowledge and some dont and are not interested. Thats ok with me Turey. I dont dislike people because they dont have any great interest in Maharaji. Maharaji is not standing over my shoulder Turey. I practise go to see and hear him speak on occasions and otherwise live my life like everyone else. My Mam lives in Spain so I pop over there now and again and Maharaji does his own thing, hes given me a gift. i use it, simple as that Turey for me my Friend. Lots of Love, Julie.

Thanks for your viewpoint. How would you feel if your very good friends that have no interest in Mr Rawat started to seem interested. Would you encourage them to take steps to bind themselves to him with the various promises he requires? I am assuming that you are not motivated to spark their interest in Mr Rawat yourself. turey.

Hiya Turey, If my good Friends start taking an interest in Maharajis Knowledge, yes of cousce I would encourage them to look it up for themselves. Ur assumption is incorrect Turey. I am very motivated to encourage people to Hello Turey, I have had friends who had no interest, and then at a different point in their lives had. Turey ur assumption is incorrect, and hope you dont mind me telling you so. I am very motivated to tell anyone about Maharaji and the gift he has revealed to me, I tell them it works for me, and if they are interested I give them the information they need to follow it up...if they want. I made my own decision when I went for Knowledge and hopefully everyone has done the same thing. I am motivated and willing to tell anyone who wants to know. As I said before I have no problems with Maharaji and Knowledge. It works for me and Im grateful to Maharaji as a Human being for that. I was also grateful to my Husband for telling me about Maharaji and Knowledge back in 73. He passed away in Feb. We were Married for 31yrs. A well Turey thats life. I miss him though! We were good Friends. We knew each other for 33yrs in all and thats a long friendship. He was a good Dad and the Family miss him very much, Thanks Turey Love and Best Wishes Julie x

...to me it does seem that your motivation to serve Mr Rawat who you see as the personal representative of the Infinite is rather bland. Sounds like you live a normal life. Nothing wrong there! I just kinda figured there would be bliss, crusades, total commitment.... Sounds like you sorta practice some yoga, keep in touch and feel fuzzy sometimes. Jai Sat Chit Anand! turey.

|
|
...as you are still connected to Mr Rawat and thus Elan Vital, do you not feel responsible to communicate to them the innapropriate behaviour of some of the members of Elan Vital that you refered to earlier? As you seem to have been following the stories here, maybe you could also let them know of the behaviour from their membership towards some people posting here. As this behavior does not reflect Sat Chit Anand I would think the Infinite would be waiting for someone like you to bring this to the attention of Its other servants! Let me know the response if you decide to follow my suggestion. turey.

Dear Julie, Are you willing to tell them everything Prem Rawat has said over the years? Do you even know everything he has said over the years? I hope you are able to think about it. Here is but one small example of Prem Rawat's mind abusing cult talk. I'll look up the dates, etc. some other time. You don't have to be a beggar for life for Rawat. Love and Best Thoughts to You... ...and that is a very kind message Hilltop. Fortunately I don't have the same spelling problems as Julie but I could recognise something of my mid-seventies and early-eighties self in her determinedly, mind-banished repetitions. I was never banned from programmes but sometimes had guilty, private and repressed resentments towards the "volunteers" ( is that the new word for "premies doing service"?.....snigger ).At the last programme I attended (2002) I could stand the irrational demands of the usher ( who wouldn't let me sit near my disabled friend) no longer and allowed my mind to get angry. That was the beginning of the end for me , the genie was out of the bottle never to be squeezed back in. I see Julie's difficulties with the "volunteers" ( and banishment from the programmes) as a desperate cry by her mind for freedom and a very positive sign.Although ,just like I was ,she is in deep denial, there is always hope. Exiting a cult is a difficult ( maybe impossible ) journey and despite her bletherings,I think I would like Julie if I ever met her and I sympathise.
