It may be my personal belief, but..

I have less doubts now, than I have ever had in any other belief.

I believe that the only safe way (as I said to others decades ago)
to ensure we do no harm, is to never lose sight of humanity,
and humanity comes down to the individual.

I offer that we have two meanings:

1. Prem-ies ..followers of prem (rawat)

2. Premie (hindi).. devotee in general .. my own interpretation..
A person obsessed with an ideal (centred around a person or idea)
to a point where the equal importance of each individual is overlooked.

In other words to even have, or harbour an ideal, for which,
in the event, one is able to override the inherent, inborne,
humanitarian instinct, to care for individuals equally.

The real criticism I level at prem rawat is that he is not equal!

So.. Premie? - not necessarily sympathetic to any particular cause: but:
an obsessed person, a person in love with an idea, a devotee;
of teacher or teachings; rather than a neutral student, a blinkered
person, (not looking away from his focus) a person who advocates
others follow their way: and is opposed to what appears to be
in contrast or contradiction. A view in which the individual
becomes a pawn to attain an objective.

see also bhakti, puja, gift shop statues.

Each time, a new person comes along it is in
the interests of all to give priority to their needs.
Let me tell you, fear, here is a very real thing, pwks
scare me. All are feeling it now, some more than others.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

It is not so much, I admit, that a child was wicked to take the guru job.

It was, just totally irresponsible to hand over the power,
the reins of our life, and the controls and ownership
of the universe to a child. (even within the confines of our
 inner, mental, emotional universe:
especially so in fact)

Like, asking a child to drive a big red double decker bus,
worse, and we go upstairs, sit back, and have a smoke,
someone spoke
and we went into a dream; and wake up
wondering why upstairs is so full of lamp posts.

I have watched for sometime now, how some people,
pounce on new posters and pester them to give details,
before they've had time to check out others' stories,
or consider carefully, the real risks they are taking.

This is putting an ideal before the individual.
It is also doing exactly what EV would want.

Before they know anybody, new posters need to feel trust.
They might have been in fear and isolation for a very long time.
They don't know who anyone is. A living person is always
more valuable than a story, (intrinsically; not just to the cause).
They need to recover from the guilt trips and illusions
and decide for themselves how they will redress the particular
imbalance, unfair treatment, and personal abuse suffered.

Otherwise we see people as mere numbers, data and history:
forgetting their ability to react to the changing moment,
That is: to live.  And their right to pick the moment for change.
We risk forgetting, even for seconds, that
We are humanity and individuals.

We must guard against
Expecting sacrifices for our ideals (again).
That is a vestigial priesthood/residual culthood ritual.

no offense intended, if on this madcap windy day, some caps fit.

Lost caP
