If someone took a close-up of my face in 1981 and took one now, I'd most likely look like I have aged.  I don't think showing extreme close-ups of Rawat's face proves anything except maybe he doesn't use enough sunscreen.

There's plenty of other stuff to be critical of other than what someone's face looks like, which could in large part be genetic for all we know.

Given that I am no sex-symbol myself, weighing in at 18 stone, I have never criticised Maharaji for his looks - his teachings and practices however - that's a different story.

I was never happy about the altered images, however it seems to me that Rawat's physical appearance is an issue because those who are responsible for promoting him make so much of it.

Ocker's point is surely that these untouched pictures are very unflatering, while the promo stuff is designed to hide the worst of the ugliness, and premies are keen to use pictures of Rawat from the past, as their preferred pinup material.

He is ugly and uglier, can't dance, can't sing, crap poet and speaks the most annoying pablum. Game very much over! Who in their right mind (or soul) would want a guru like that? Very embarrasing. At least Rajneesh had wonderful hats and lots of nitrous oxide!

Posting these photos is not about Prem Rawat's unattractive facial appearance prr se. Quite possibly close-ups taken by a professional photographer of my face would appear as unattractive though I doubt it.

This is a man who claims to have realised God 40 years ago! This is a man who claims to be the only bona fide revealer of the techniques of inner peace to mankind in a lineage going back thousands of years and it seems to me that the face absolutely negates such claims. Call me a romantic but I believe that if his claims were true then this would show on his face in such a way as to touch the hearts of all sincere seekers of truth and to assuage the thirst of the heart for the Knowledge and gratitude to the giver of the Gift of the Possibility of Peace.

If Arthur Chappell or I am overweight and unattractive that does not in any way impinge upon the validity of our criticism of Rawat. If Rawat is overweight and looking very sick then it is a direct contradiction to his claims about peace and bliss.

I'm not the Perfect Mistress?  Not a guru?  Oh Dammit!

You're right about the 40 years of supposedly being a  bona fide enlightened being.  There's no glow about him at all, and he does look used up.

Even when I look at his younger pictures I can't figure out what I saw in that face so long ago.  He has some strange features.

Maybe Rawat should be called the "Perfect Mattress," but then again he does look kind of lumpy.  See?  You get me started on this and...!
