.....where tapes from Prem Rawat's message of peace, along with other materials, are made available to people in prisons in Argentina.Doesn't this qualify as 'cruel and unusual punishment'?

I had to put up with Premie music on US Air last month. That was punishment enough to want to change airlines.

Yes, I wish they'd stuck to word of mouth not advertising.
Leading with their front foot, week after week at one stage, possibly still going on, was an ad in our local paper with a close up photo of Mr Rawats face.
Okay so we added the odd embellishment with a pen to the first couple but after that there was not much left but to titter at the placement which would sometimes have him cheek to Sound Temple with an ad from an erstwhile student of his.
No really, just when you think you're safe from assault, you get mugged whilst turning the page of a newspaper.

I had to put up with Premie music on US Air last month. That was punishment enough to want to change airlines. I would have told them to shut it off on the basis of having a Post Traumatic Stress flashback. I'm not joking -- all that stuff gives me a very adverse reaction. Why was premie music on the flight, btw?

It was on both of my flights to and from Charlotte to Philadelphia. They had it as the boarding music plus the movie screen was lit up with some vague colorful seascapes. I guess it was supposed to make people relax as they got on the plane. UGH!

It's a good thing I don't fly -- I'd protest loudly that the airline was playing a personality cult's music. If you're ever flying again and they play arti, start swinging a tray and sing the words! Bring a portable altar for visual effect.

I wrote last night a long letter including links guiding to information who the real RAWAT is, truth spread all over the Internet. I explained in detail how was that Rawat became a "benefactor". When this forum pointed to the differences between greedy, selfish Prem Rawat and his brother (the other "god) from Canada, who has always helped many causes and is recognized In India as a real benefactor, critizied Prem Rawat hunger for wordly posessions then, P.Rawat and his servants saw an opportunity to do some public relations attempting to create "smoking mirrors" to continue misleading the public. He wants to look good but the damage Mr. Rawat has been done already. You cannot change the past, and probably neitehr the future. Since the future is a consequence of your past and what you did is all over the Internet, that will affect your next days in this Earth. I doubt at this point you will change your ways. You are no Jesus. I expressed that being that I'm Argentinian, determined to spare my people from Rawat's any future deceitful gig. I prompted them to correct their mistake and that otherwise they will be accountable for their actions and that I was going to make it public myself placing a website in Castellano, the spanish language of Argentina to point to it and that would be an embarasment to anyone related to him and their future careers. I pleaded to them over and over in my letter to view the links contents and told them my story in the cult of 26 years of mental abuse and added that if I did not received a satisfactory response regarding the mistake they made, acknowledging such a disgusting person, then I plan to continue writing until ARGENTINA is warned PUBLICKLY about this disgusting liar, a dangerous real spiritual predator, specially in Argentina where new age stuff is unheard of. I know a few reporters there. He made a big mistake deceiving us and at some point we requested an appology, instead he began to attack us, his victims. He may have money but we have the truth. He has bad advisors. Silvia

Good Silvia - if you get a response, I'll be interested to hear of it.
Maybe when I get really tired of new age Totnes, I should come to Argentina, and live on rare beef steak!

Of course I will post if I get a response.
I do not eat beef, but yes, argentinian beef is lean and great. Some members of my family, two uncles are still in that business.
I live in the USA.
Blessings.
