German Kabel BW Selects Words of Peace Channel for Digital Programming
Heidelberg, Germany (PRWEB) November 21, 2006 -- Kabel BW, one of the four leading cable operators in Germany, has chosen the award-winning series "Words of Peace" to be part of their upcoming digital cable programming. Kabel BW currently reaches 2.3 million analog homes. "Words of Peace," featuring 30-minute excerpts of addresses by Prem Rawat, widely known by the honorary title Maharaji, is televised to over 200 million homes in North and South America and Europe.
The Brazilian Association of Community Television Channels granted this show its highest award in November 2003. In presenting the award, Fernando Mauro Trezza, president of the Association, said: "While many programs are special, some are essential. 'Words of Peace,' which presents Prem Rawat's message, is one of these unique programs. The feeling within that Prem Rawat introduces people to is very important for everyone. This program is a great contribution toward the triumph of inner peace."
On Kabel BW, the "Words of Peace" channel currently airs 24 hours a day, every day of the week, and a new episode comes out every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday between 8 p.m. and 8:30 pm.
Prem Rawat has traveled the world for more than four decades inspiring people to find peace within. His message is simple and profound. Speaking at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, he expressed, "Peace needs to be in everyone's life. Of all the things we have tried in this world, there is one thing we have never given a chance. That one thing is peace. If we want to hope for something, maybe we could hope in our heart that peace will come in our life. The peace we are looking for is within. It is in the heart, waiting to be felt, and I can help you get in touch with it. It is not the world that needs peace; it is people. When people in the world are at peace within, the world will be at peace."
The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF), founded by Prem Rawat, spearheads and supports significant humanitarian initiatives throughout the world. Last year, it contributed to organizations such as the United Nations World Food Programme to bring relief to victims of widespread famine in Niger, the tsunami in Indonesia and Sri Lanka, the massive earthquake in Pakistan, and Hurricane Katrina in the U.S. Gulf Coast. In addition, the Foundation continues to head food-aid initiatives in India and Sri Lanka, and holds regular free medical clinics in northeastern India.
