I'm not sure where Kabir sits historically, but he probably got the remark from the New Testament, 2 Corinth 3:6. It's a reference to the Mosaic Law (letter)--Paul is saying that this law is dead and trying to live by it in a literal way leads to a dead life. Reporter seems to be implying that us deluded exes obeyed the letter of agya but missed its spirit. (Yawn.) Neville B
