And since you buy food from a shop keeper (and finance his life), you're entitled to pry into his private life. And you had a relationship with someone 10 years ago and supported them, therefore you are entitled to pry into their life long after they ave forgotten you.

That is the mentality of a stalker, they believe that they have a relationship with someone (even if it is only from watching their movies) and are therefore entitled to enter into that person's life when they are not wanted.
