As for Poona, it was the late 70s. Took "sannyas" as it was called (renunciation? like hell!), in August '77, but never got too heavily involved in the Rajneesh ashram - other than the daily discourses and about a dozen or so therapy groups - (experience of several DLM ashrams had innoculated me against joining ashrams in the early part of that decade). Spent quite a bit of time in Goa, Kashmir and Ladakh before returning to the West in the early 80s.
What have I learned from it all? That there are plenty of people in this world who like to use others for their own purposes. My aim? Not to let it happen again. Not to me, at least!
