I recall somebody posting about knowing Marylon Johnson before she got involved romatically with Rawat.  Maybe that person (or anyone else) can comment on that.  I also didn't know her and I actually have never met her.  I seem to recall that the poster said she was kind of a hippie-chick, but was also an airline stewardess, so who knows?

I seem to recall that premies who had worked at the residence said that Marolyn did have an affair with her driver (don't recall the name), and apparently Malibu Prem went ballistic.  I don't know if this was before Rawat started having affairs with premies, or before he had a mistress.  If it was after, it certainly would be the ultimate double standard, don't you think?

So, even though Marolyn apparently knows about Prem's mistress, he apparently goes to great lengths to try to keep the extent of it, or the specific details from Marolyn.  According to McGregor and others, there are orders among the x-rated, that Marolyn isn't to be told about Monica showing up and "the res" at Amaroo for example.  I have also heard that Rawat keeps his trysts with Monica when he's "on tour," and not around the pink palace right under Marolyn's nose.  Maybe he also doesn't want to parade her around in front of his kids, although I am told they do know about his mistress.

I frankly haven't a clue where Marolyn's head is at.  I know she has had serious health problems as well.

Whatever her actual feelings and beliefs, she sure put on the "ultimate-gopi" presentation at festivals, didn't she?  She spoke about her husband as if he was God incarnate, about his lotus feet, about trying to surrender to him, about her absolute devotional love for him, etc.  Marolyn had a lot to do with whipping up all the "devotional love" bullshit that was so big in the 70s and 80s, because she was a mere mortal, but married to the divine incarnation, and so she had a unique perspective and was kind of a bridge to the rest of us who were also mere mortals trying to be dust at the feet.

In a certain way, Marolyn served the same function that the Virgin Mary does in the Catholic Church.  Some of the protestant churches were critical of the Catholic Church because Mary is such a BIG DEAL among Catholics.  But in Catholicism, it is openly taught that Mary is like a bridge to a God who is unrelatable to the experience of most people, but Mary is an actual human who has been raised up to a divine position and so is a sort of intermediary with God, including her son, the incarnation of God.

I think Marolyn filled much the same function.  The fact that she was aware, at the time, that her husband was a dope-smoking alcoholic who was abusive towards her, didn't seem to mitigate her from saying to the  premies that he was beyond perfect.  I remember Rawat even called her "Durga Ji" for a number of years, and referred to her that way in public, and the title is a kind of divine power or something.  Don't recall exactly.

God.  Even after all these years of looking at this, when I think about something like that I'm just stunned at how bizarre and sick, the Rawat cult is.  Just amazingly nuts.
