Bryn, I found a substitute for subjective self-love. I do a lot of positive affirmations, a kind of goal setting, almost on a religious basis!! That is , I have made a habit of positive affirmations, as they seem to cut through to the psyche where the hurts, the negative self messages, the delusions, the tendencies to worship false idols, etc  are to be found. I make affirmations about health wealth happiness and good jos, relationships, etc. It seems to work, even if just to take my mind off my old obsessive patterns. You can even get rid of old behaviours that are there because of childhood trauma. It is just like replacing bad habits with good habits. You have to work on it, but it is the only thing I have found that really works. Set the goals, and allow your superconscious mind to navigate. It is just a psychological trick, but I find the universe works on patterns. best, Nya.
