I'm not advocating breaking friendships, just pointing out that whilst it may be very pleasant to catch up with old aquaintances at these cult jamborees, not going because one has more important things to do, is a good sign that someone is getting over it all.

As it happens I still have friends who 'believe'....I hesitate to say are still cult members, because they don't support the org in any way except by attending Rawatfests when they happen in England, & then not every time. Also, they never ever talk about heem amongst themselves, not even after a blast of darshan. Apart from general comments, such as one would hear from any crowd coming out of a theatre, like, 'wasn't that fantastic', the main thing is getting a table big enough to hold all the members of the impromptu reunion party which forms after the event.

I'd much rather see them now, & do occasionally, under normal circumstances. 'Them' means the 2 or 3 real friends, the others I'm slightly sad about, but if never seeing them again means I don't have to sit through another Bollixshwar show either, then I can live with that.
