The quotes or paraphrases (not soundbites) retained their meaning within their context or otherwise. While they varied in the level of snideness they showed your character and lack of judgement far more concisely than your rambling satsang which at time sounded spookily like a collection of quotes from Rawat's speeches. Re the organisation you said (and this is a direct quote not a paraphrase): “I sincerely feel that one can enjoy Maharaji, his Knowledge and reject the cult. Cult(ure) is a social phenonomen, not taught by Maharaji. It's the people around him, under him, or wherever than perpetuate this alienating behavior. “ While I am presuming that the word 'phenonomen' was meant to be 'phenomenon' and that 'than' was meant to be 'that' to make the sentence have meaning the only real mistake in it is that you exempt Rawat from the 'alienating behavior'.
I did not say there was anything dishonourable in "following Maharaji". You said "I see how you may have pursed (sic) this, (your second goal you write about in your letter) caused you struggle, angst, sometimes isolation. I can't deny that some do run after the experience of trying to get his attention, chasing him if you will, with brief moments of satisfaction, but deeper isolation and debt probaly (sic) follows when either it's not what they expected, or when the travel bills come in. ... However, that is not experience I want to cultivate or honor."
Any normal person would read this as a snide attack on Mike which argues that his disillusion with Rawat and his "Knowledge" came about because of his running around trying to get Rawat's personal attention, a method whcih you do not honor ie is dishonourable.
I did not make any claim that you were a spokesperson for anyone else. I am quite sure that Rawat, and anyone else for that matter, would want for a far more competent spokesperson than yourself. As for your honest discussion, time will tell.
