Ghi,

Hi, again.

OMG, you did just what I said premies and other religious people do.  You say that Knowledge works for you and you like it and that's it.  And you say there is no belief to Knowledge, only fulfillment.

Try to get this:  there is no belief involved when a person is experiencing something (anything).  This applies to all experiences, certainly not just to the experience that one might call "Knowledge."  When a person is experiencing a sense of fulfillment, he is experiencing  .....   what?     Is he experiencing Knowledge?  NO, no, no, He is experience a sense of fulfillment.  And there is no belief to that.  BUT - there IS belief in the acceptance of Rawat's teachings.  There IS belief when a person has the feeling of fulfillment and calls it "Knowledge."

This little aspect of the debate is what has been correctly analyzed as the specialized language that all cults use.  The word Knowledge is first applied to an experience and as such Knowledge is said to be without belief.  This much is true.  But then the same word Knowledge is applied to a system of dedicated activity (satsang, service, and meditation or to use more current language, practice and participation), and again it is claimed that Knowledge is without belief, but this time the claim is untrue.  There is belief involved in the practice of Knowledge, or any cult involvlement, or any religious activity.

We must analyzed Knowledge from the viewpoint of whether or not it is true logically when we are concerning ourselves intellectually with Rawat's various teachings.  The only time we abandon the logical part of the mind is when we are attempting to still the mind in order to feel silence and peace.

The problem with premies is that they use cult language, and so time and time again I have asked premies who post here to simply stop using premiespeak and automatically we will stop arguing around each other and see how very much we do actually agree with each other.  It's amazing.  And, if a premie won't do this because they are so used to using premiespeak in their own minds, it can be extremely frustrating.  It makes an ex-premie want to tear their hair out.

I ask that when you use the word Knowledge, please replace it with the ordinary English word for what you are actually meaning.   You will start to understand ex-premies a lot better.

There are some really good books that describe the tricks of cults.  Can somebody here recommend to Ghi certain titles?  I know there is one book that talks about the specialized language of cults in a very understandable way.
