Ah, but you are assuming: 1) That since he had nine lives, he must have had nine votes; 2) If that is false, your argument fails; 3) If that is true, then his nine votes must have been part of the quorum, so abstaining from using eight of them still means the vote was not unanimous, so your argument fails in this case as well. There is a deep and important principle involved here concerning the lives and voting rights of cats, so we must get it right... -- Mike
