No, I do not mean the practice of meditation. My original comment to Ghi that you questioned was about the techniques that Rawat espouses. It seems we are in agreement about that.
I threw away my baragon before Rawat advised people to do so. But Rawat still advises thumbs in ears, finger on spot between eyes, tongue in back of throat, and following the up and down movement of the breath. These physical postures are actually distracting to a meditative state of mind, in my opinion. The last one I mentioned is ok.
As for the practice of meditation and the meditative state of mind, I personally find it can be helpful to many people who are disposed to it, myself being one of those people since I am an artistic type and like to stay in contact with my muse, so to speak.
