and the Deluxe tent would cost $1700 US, plus about $1000 airfar, plus food (which is no longer included but expensively vended, maybe another $150 or more...so to see the laud it will cost around $3000...

I remember the fund raising to "improve the temporary facilities" so they could bring the price down for us poor old premies. We bought that hook, line and sinker, and ponied up our cash,,,most of those improvements have never been made (in the areas we see anyway)...and where did the money go??
