though I must say I appreciated F7 too.

It was boisterous and crazy round the edges, but with a fine sense of total free expression, some of which IMO has gone.

Maybe times have changed. I guess many original posters have now gone - realizing that life isn't about great endless confrontation, and just phased away into their own hopefully wholesome lives.

Some nose in here and there, out of nostalgia.

Well - as Tiny Tim said: God bless us one and all!

We tried to make it all as real as possible, and so much was covered that was heroic and truly original and rather incredible in the imagination involved.

Ongoing good luck to F8, but I have the sense that by becoming more 'acceptable', something of the gutsiness, maybe greatness, was lost.

However, I argued for this at the time, so can't complain.

Very good luck to F8. I am sure it will continue to provide a sound and sensible arena of information and debate (but hopefully with the occasional flashes of good humour and sound comradeliness).
