it's all in Indian Roots on EPO.

Before his later involvement with Swarupanand, Sri Hans is said to have been initiated by Sawan Singh, an eminent teacher in the Rhadasoami Satsang Beas tradition.

RSB was a highly influential descendent line from Dayal Singh, founder of Rhadasoami in the 1860s.

Dayal's teachings were based on the 3 primary notions of

Satguru, Shabd (primordial energy experienced as inner music) and Satsang (company of truth).

Obviously some of the descendant lines from Dayal changed from Shabd as inner music to Sh as energy behind the breath.

A neighbour of mine has been a member of Rhadasoami Satsang Beas (following first Charan, then Gurinder) since about 1974.

He attends satsang every Sunday, and practises two techniques, one presumably the DLM music one, and attempts to remain constantly concentrated on the Third Eye.

Needless to say, he often looks rather strained.

It's interesting how RSB practise exactly the original teachings of Dayal, though presumably with minor western twitchings here and there.

Interestingly, Maharaji has kept reasonably to the same formula, with pre-eminent and incontestable Master/Inspirational Speaker, total energy focus (remember every breath), and public meeting.

In contrast to RSB, however, in which satsang remains a forum in which individual input by followers is permitted, premie meetings, as we all know, are now all about avoiding any personal input and stifling any inner unorthodoxy.

This latter point merely proves the superiority in premie eyes of their own movement, as everything is catered for by the words of the Master alone.

Of course, one could be like Baldrick in Blackadder, and see it all as a Cunning Plan to prevent premies getting together to question any of the Master's statements, but that would presumably be conspiracy thinking and straight from the mind.

It would certainly prevent them from discovering that there are currently hundreds of Rhadasoami groups in operation, with an undefined, but sizeable number of Satgurus.
