First, he wants to make you "thirsty" by denying that quenching drink when you ask. 

Second, he wants that 2 hour brainwashing ,with mind numbing claptrap, to really sink in and become a permanent part of the ignorant psyche. 

You see, if you watch too much of it at once, not only will you discover how inane and repetitive it all is, but you will gloss over the fluff....... and find out that fluff is all there is to it.  The "depth" never happens, but by the time you would normally have realized this, he's got you so mentally twisted that critical thinking and logic are considered to be the enemy.
