Thought this would make interesting reading. One of the points - about the tendency in the narcissistic/alcoholic personality towards "projection" really hit home for me.

I remember so many times Maharaji lashing out at some flaw or other in us premies - being sort of surprised because I really didin't think that was a particular problem I had, but assuming in my devotion that I just didn't see it, and then taking on the emotional burden of this flaw. And then, later, realizing that these were really problems or flaws that Maharaji posessed, not me, and being both really angry that I had allowed him to put that on me, and being fascinated and relieved as I began to understand what was actually happening, in terms of some sort of behavioral mechanism.
