It would be great if only they could get through to him. It really gives me the creeps to read that Cruise is on a cult recruitment campaign. I used to really admire John Travolta - I think he's a great actor - but his involvement with Scientology vastly diminishes my respect for him. That must be how some folks in my circle reacted to my own cult involvement. I do have some compassion and empathy for those ensnared and brainwashed in weird religions and cults because of that. But now it seems so utterly preposterous and ridiculous, particularly considering the information that is now available through the internet.
