Could confronting Rawat be as serious as confronting Jim Jones?

I noticed there are so many similarities between the so-called Rev. Jim Jones (Peoples Temple/Jonestown) and Rawat, and I wonder if Rawat had a group directly on his case if he would "go off" --- possibly doing harm to current premies. Especially, consider if his whole EV was to dismantle, and also his financial gains fall apart, could he act like another Jim Jones? I remember reading how, in the case of Jonestown, a group of "concerned relatives" comprised of x-Peoples Temple and relatives of members began a campaign against Jones, and then the tragedy occurred with the murders. While I'm mentioning Jones, it is interesting to consider that he also claimed to be God, and some of his followers made interpretations that though he made this claim, he also taught everyone had a divinity in them (a way to rationalize cultic doctrine). Maharaji seems to do the same, and premies seem to rationalize the same way.
