If I give £1000 to Elan Vital, and pay tax at 22% they get a further £270 from the Govt that they would otherwise been able to pay out on real education, hospitals etc. (or troops of course). So instead of £1000 they have £1270. The cult have made millions from the UK govt this way with their sham educational charity status. I am not able to deduct that £1000 from my tax bill. My understanding is that this is different from the US. Bunny
