It was at this Holi program that I was interviewed for the DECA project and it was less than a week later that I was transferrred to Miami Beach to live in the Broadripple (former "whore-house-hotel" as we came to call it) ashram and work in Hialeah, Florida on the secret B707 jet project for Prem Rawat or Maharaji. I remember it so clearly it's like it was yesterday. My community coordinator, Ondine Norman (one of my all-time favorite premies and ashram-mate in Hartford, Conn.) received a phone call from the special project staff. They told her I was to meet them at one of those high rise Miami Beach hotels for a secret interview. I emphasize the word "secret" because, before, during, and after that interview, confidentiality was one of the main focuses. Could I keep my mouth shut about that project and Maharaji's connection to it if I were accepted for full-time service there? A premie's level of devotion and surrender to Maharaji himself was another big criteria for being picked to work at DECA, but the ability to keep a secret was high up on the list. It was said in just those words, too: "You must be completely devoted to Maharaji in order to do this full-time service." So I met with Randi Barringer and Michael Black and then I went home after the Sunday Holi program ended. Within three days, the following Wednesday, I was living in Miami Beach, Florida. Actually, it was the day after the program, on Monday, in the late afternoon, after I got home from work that Ondine got the call at the sisters ashram, to "send her down, we want her by Wednesday." I never blinked an eye at the short notice and now I wonder how I could have accepted such a tremendous upheavel in my life as normal. Anyway, these particular quotes from this satsang of Rawat's strike me as more proof of Prem Rawat's total mind-f**k of premies and in it he talks about the worthlessness of the world, and that premies should dependent upon him. Thanks Hilltop!!! All said by Prem Rawat: "We take this world as a stick, as a guide a way to go, the way to be, the way to travel in this world the way to be alive, a pattern, a fact. And when that stick breaks, which it does, then what is left? Absolutely nothing. What is the experience that this world gives us? What is the experience of this world? Not one single thing that’s good." And this: "Guru Maharaj Ji says, "Look, There’s only one thing that is true in this world, there’s only one thing that is real in this world." This one saint says that wherever you can see, it’s all maya, it’s all illusion. That’s it. It’s all illusion. And what is really really real in this world is that Holy Name [breath technique] is Guru Maharaj Ji." "There is one song that goes "Without Guru Maharaj Ji, nobody is going to find the path." And it just becomes so obvious in our lives that, yes, we are made to be dependent on somebody, on that perfectness. We have to rely on that perfectness. We have to be a beggar. And we have to be the "most humblest" beggar. Not just a beggar. Because everybody is a beggar." Modified by Cynthia at Sun, Feb 27, 2005, 09:22:38 |
