But, hey, he never said it (wink, wink). Hilly, need dates on this one, please, when you can... "What is this Knowledge without Guru Maharaj Ji? To a lot of people it’s very hard to understand what the role is, the function of Guru Maharaj Ji is. You can put it a zillion ways. But Guru Maharaj Ji is Knowledge. Who are you going to do service for? Guru Maharaj Ji. What are you going to meditate on? Guru Maharaj Ji. The Holy Name. Which is Guru Maharaj Ji. "I mean, that’s what my experience is of Knowledge. And to me it’s very, very clear that I can live without Knowledge. But I cannot live without Guru Maharaji. That is the difference. Because Guru Maharaj Ji comes and reveals his one aspect to all of us which is his Knowledge. He imparts his Knowledge to us." Prem Rawat I just want to point out that "Knowledge" is the four meditation techniques taught by Prem Rawat, and Holy Name is the breath technique that's part of the meditation package Rawat still offers -- to this day. It's referred to as number these days, but it's the exact, same technique. Therefore, what Rawat says here is that by meditating on one's breath, you are meditating on HIM, personally and furthermore, premies should try to focus upon Guru Maharaj Ji 24/7, too. Also want to point out that when Rawat said this, we premies were under his agya (orders) to meditate on our breath 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. And he's not talking about his father, either. If you read further along, he does refer to "my Guru Maharaj Ji," who was his father, Shri Hans. Modified by Cynthia at Sat, Feb 26, 2005, 06:37:57 |
