Is this premie poet partly talking about the "lover inside"?  There's a long tradition of mystics falling in love with Christ or with God.  They love it when they get stigmata and other sufferings.  It's creepy.  And more than that, really, it's sick.  I mean that literally in the case of St. Theresa of Such and Such and all the others.  However, I don't think Milky is sick, I think he is just a little too gushy for his own good, is all.

If there is such a thing as a higher love, and if and when it manifests for a person, I don't think it resembles a sappy movie.  Life can indeed move us to tears, with its beauty, and that is well and good, but you ruin it as soon as you proclaim it, or give the credit to some bozo-guru.

You have to give the poet some room to emote and I don't want to dismiss such expression entirely.  But when they emote this way to the guru, it's just too pitiful.
