"He even comes down into this world, bears that physical body, bears the pains, bears the suffering of this physical planet and gives knowledge....He is the ultimate. He doesn't need to come into this world. He has got so much power, He could manifest himself in front of everybody in this world and ask them personally a question. He wouldn't even have to come down into this world. All he would have to do is come out of the clouds and speak loud one day, and say, "people who are not going to receive knowledge are going to hell".Where did we get the idea that the present day motivational speaker said he was the Lord incarnate? No-one could possibly interpret Maharaji's words in that way, now could they? After all, coming out of the clouds and speaking to everyone personally and threatening them with hell if they don't do his training is the sort of everyday thing that Anthony Robbins talks about too.
I wouldn't mind so much if Maharaji came out admitting that he led us up the garden path as to his divinity and apologised. It's the total denial and accusations that we somehow got the wrong end of the stick adding insult to injury that really rankles.
Thanks again Hilltop. Those of us that were there fully remember what happened and what he said - but it's great to have this hard evidence to fly in the face of our detractors.
