1. Rawat is not a charlatan because he believes in his delusions

Andries, your simplistic statement contains the essence of what I don't like about some of your posts (but not you personally).

My problem is this: you reach logical conclusions that do not involve logical thinking. For example, your quote states that (paraphrasing) Rawat believes in his delusions, therefore he is not a charlatan.

But, a person like Rawat might believe in his delusions AND be a charlatan at the same time. To explain, Rawat may well believe that he is God. But, he also runs Elan Vital, a fraudulent organization that is widely accepted as charlatan.

So, Rawat may indeed believe that he is personally some sort of divinity. But, at the same time, Rawat is Elan Vital's public face, which makes him a charlatan CEO.

My point is this: by over-simplifying logical matters, you sort of stifle good dialogue. I'm as much of a guest here as you, so why not relax and try to understand more about people who have experienced Rawatism first-hand, rather than attempt to put words into people's mouths.
