I remember after the Jonestown mass suicide happened in 1978, there was some discussion among the premies in my ashram about whether we would be "surrendered enough" to kill ourselves if our Lord and Master gave us agya to do so. I think the consensus was that we "hoped" we would be able to do it, have full faith in Maharaji, and not "leave room for doubt in our minds," thus failing the crucial "test" that Rawat was supposedly always putting us through as "lila," all in his "all-knowing" attempts to "give us exactly what we need." Of course "interested people" should know about this. They should know everything Rawat has said and done over the years, including his attempts to cover it up, lie about it, and otherwise pretend it never happened. To me, that's the major point of EPO, and you better believe it, that if it weren't for EPO and the Internet, he would probably be mostly successful because: 1. The premies who were around and saw it all see their repression, dishonesty and just plain amnesia, as the deal they have with the Perfect Master to follow his divine plan. Rawat always knows what he is doing, and it's perfect, and if the premie doesn't see that, the premie is just wrong. They have this unspoken deal with him, that they will lie for him, and absolve him of any responsibility, and in return, they get to stay premies, and feel superior to other people, something very important to them and their identities as human beings. 2. Ex-premies and opposition to Maharaji carrying out this "plan," no matter how dishonest it is, is just evidence that Maharaji is who the premies believe him to be, because, as every premie believes, the Perfect Master is ALWAYS oppossed, and so opposition is just proof that he is the Perfect Master and the premie should have faith in him. It's illogical to the point of farce, but that's the thinking premies do. 3. Given 1 and 2, above most premies would go right along with all the revisionism just like it's 1984.
