I understand what you did and it's fine. I did the same thing last summer when I put my stuff onto a nice big bonfire. I felt a lot of satisfaction after so many years of hanging onto the stuff. But, before other ex-premies are gasping that I may have done the wrong thing, I burned the stuff that I know is already scanned, and I kept some items still of value to me for confidential reasons.
Survivors of abuse do the same kinds of things with say, old pictures and memorabilia hanging around that reminds them of their past. It can be a great release and relief to be rid of it. It's a very personal and private decision.
Besides, what's gone is gone.
