I went to one of them down home genuine prayer revival tent meetins. Praise the lawd!

I got dragged to one by the relatives I was visiting. A Rawat "inspirational" meeting is like dinner theatre compared to that. People was a praisin and a hootin and speakin in tongues. Hal-le-lu-yah! The first preacher told us all how he had a vision from God that Michael Jackson was the genuine triple six antichrist, but the highlight of the occasion was when Eddie Cochran, ex CC Rider drug addict rocker become preacher did his singing ministry. At the end they asked who was ready to reborn in jaysus and suddenly one of the people who I came with and happened to be sitting next to me stood up. I was so embarassed that I started to pray to jaysus to get me the hell out of there. Oh Jaysus, please, make this not be happening. I'm sorry I didn't brush my teeth this morning, I swear I'll never do it again! But please, just make that person sitting next to me sit back down on her goddamn ass again!

But actually now that you mention it, the first time I saw Rawat at a program I felt exactly the way you are describing. I felt totally alienated by the group hysteria and Rawat actually scared me. Had I only listened to my own "heart" at that point and ran out screaming.

Hey, you haven't started selling Tupperware have you? When are you coming to Berlin anyway?

Fond regards,

Dan
