One of the most notorious Indian gurus with a large gay following was Maharaji who, despite being exposed as having covered up a paedophile scandal in this ashram and for being engaged in money laundering and smuggllng, claimed - as God incarnate - to be beyond society's laws and continued marketing himself as a guru.

Where'd that come from?!
