Jaw jaw jaw not War war war. Always the best. That maybe why your natural leftists began to support Trump. I am guessing they saw what I saw - namely the Left’s assault on Free Speech. Here in the UK it is getting bad - more people arrested here last year for something they said on social media than were arrested in Russia. Some 3000 people. That included a girl in the city where I live who was arrested for posting her dead friend’s favourite song on FB in her grief - a rap song with the ‘n’ word in the lyrics. She was arrested, charged, and convicted. Someone was offended (a woke political activist no doubt) and no one cared about the girl’s motive.
Your friends probably saw how the Progressive activists hunt down and smear people and get them sacked from their jobs. They probably felt Trump was the last bastion against authoritarianism and neo-Marxist stasi-style state control and the erosion of our freedoms.
Everyone who stands for the office of POTUS wants to be president surely? That can’t be an argument for or against their candidacy.
The Abraham Accords were an attempt to bring peace to the Middle East. Of course you haven’t heard of them because they show Trump in a very good light so the media will be silent - much as they originally were over Hunter Biden’s laptop (except to actively try and discredit the story) in the run up to the election,
