Ah, yes, I recognize those people you describe.   There are many of them in the USA also, more and more.  

And I agree with you about the more primitive or at least very different brain wiring, because their world view and reactions lack introspection and empathy.  And unfortunately they are easily manipulated by despots who use hatred or fear to mobilize support and loyalty.  

This isn't new throughout history, but seems to surge in cycles, and it is surging now, as it did 75 years ago.    We forget the lessons of history, over and over again.
