I knew we had a spike in murders to 24 last year, and knew that most were gangs, mainly Somalis whom I've mentioned before. Except the honor killings, or domestic murders, they mainly kill each other, which most don't mind. Similarly, though topping out at 162 murders between the Rock Machine and the Angels, most Montrealers didn't care until 11 year old Daniel Desrochers  was with hit by shrapnel. Most of these killings are gang related, late night Byward market scuffles. The Syrians have yet to be a problem. A good comparison to the Somalis here would be Jamaicans in Toronto. It seems a 2nd generation of a wave of Black immigrants, winds up involved in this. In an un- PC manner, I'd call it more of a tribal mentality or black youth problem for the most part than a Muslim problem.  Muslims that go to bars on the market to pick up girls or sell crack and wind up killing each other aren't killing for the Koran. The same for the  thugs on Lesley's beach.  I just can't picture a kid running off and holding a stolen cell phone in the air, and shouting "Allah Akbar"   The gangs of niggers who rape German women on new years eve are just criminals. Do these people offend more than other groups ? That all said, it's nice to help people, but not too much too fast and certainly not rose color their violence.
