Are you worried about hitting "x" on the subscription box to get rid of it? Why? You're not following a link anywhere but rather skipping an ad, so to speak. You can read the article with nothing to worry about. 

So sure the actual incident itself happened a year ago. Would that affect immediacy too? It's not like it's ancient history or there's any reason to think the toxic social factors that lead to this happening are somehow ameliorated. You know, like yeah, that was during that rocky pre-assimilation period for some of these poor kids in transition. They're not that way anymore. 

And Pat, I'm not sure what your criticism of the DM is on this. One realm of the news today is this strata of social media interaction. That's the story. How else can it see daylight?
